Deshawn Smalls, 27, and Justin Patterson, 31, both of Peekskill, were arrested after Westchester County Police and state police responded to Main Street in the town of Cortlandt around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday for a report of menacing with a firearm, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the State Police.

An investigation found the men to be in possession of a Makarov pistol which Patterson allegedly used to threaten four victims.

Smalls was charged with felony criminal possession of a firearm. Patterson was charged with felony criminal possession of a firearm, falsifying business records, four counts of menacing, resisting arrest, possession of a forged instrument false personation.

Both men were arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail with a return appearance date of Feb, 7.

Smalls was remanded in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or secure bond, and Patterson was remanded in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secure bond.
